California Poppies are abundant throughout the foothills of Northern California in the Spring where Nicholson Blown Glass has resided since 1980. Classes with the masters of hot sculpture - Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen, Jasen Johnsen and Pino Signoretto challenged Rick to develop this series combined with Janet's powder designs. The California Poppy was integrated into the 2014 and 2016 Visit California Poppy Awards. They have also been featured in the Crocker Museum Art Auction and KVIE Public Television Auction. |
